MCA Updates: Form CHG-4 can now be filled within 300 days

Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has notified, on 06th July, 2018, that ROC may, on application by Company or charge holder, allow Company to file an intimation for satisfaction of a charge within 300 days after making payment for additional fees.


In the Companies Amendment Act, 2017, MCA has included Section 20 with respect to alteration of Section 82 of Companies Act, 2013 by adding a proviso to the effect that ROC may, on application by Company or charge holder, allow a Company to file Form No. CHG-4 (intimation for satisfaction of charge) within 300 days from the date of satisfaction after paying additional fees as prescribed under Companies Act, 2013. However, this Section 20 of Companies Amendment Act, 2017 was not notified.

By issuing notification dated 06th July, 2018, MCA notified Section 20 of Companies Amendment Act, 2017 with effect from 05th July, 2017.
